1 Motorcycle Faces Entire Army

Yusuf Anka is a Nigerian journalist who spent over three years investigating armed gangs in northwestern Nigeria via motorcycle. Reporting in such a hostile environment like Nigeria Yusuf is constantly at risk of poor road conditions, airstrikes, and hostile enemies. "Anka finally got a green light from the warlords for an interview and filming. He visited more than 10 camps for the filming and interviews, which happened under the carful eyes of the warlords men."(Egwu, 2023) From these interactions Yusuf would create a documentary titled The Bandit Warlords of Zamfara, his work would go on to win the 2023 Global Shining Award commemorating him for his ground breaking work.
