According to trtworld, the war in gaza is not seeing any shine of hope for the better as food is in short supply, disease is rampant, and healthcare providers are being targetted.
The situation with food in Gaza has gone from alarming to simply terrible. Famine is imminent for up to one million people in Gaza, and so time is very critical to implement some measures to avert this situation.
So far, "Gaza has seen 106,000 causalities, with 32,000 of them being deaths that resulted from Israeli strikes since March 27." Not only has the number of food trucks driving into Gaza decreased by 90, as aforementioned, but now it is down to 60 daily. Due to this deficiency, families that do not have enough food are forced not to eat, and in the north, two-thirds of households have had to deal with this problem over the last month more than once.
Every single Gaza household is in critical need of food, water, and hygiene items as well. This has resulted in a massive population of kids getting sick, especially children because water is dirty and causes many different diseases. Its water supply is not hygienic as of now, but the situation is more severe than that of many other towns and cities in Gaza.
Hundreds of humanitarian workers are also in a precarious situation, as so many of them have been victimized due to the occupation since they were engaged in providing help to civilians. The healthcare system will not withstand the situation of continuous air raids and spot attacks against it, and the result will be severe destruction in a short time.
Early action is vital for preventing further casualties and malnutrition. Governments worldwide should devise a speedy solution to the crisis by delivering relief supplies, food, and water to the people of Gaza.
