There has been a recent boom in the use of AI throughout the past year. Many people use it to help benefit others, and some use it for fake news or to fool others. Recently, one of the most viewed and coveted events that happen annually got infiltrated with the use of AI. The Met Gala is one of the most prestigious events of the year that many celebrating attend in the most glamorous pieces of couture. When the Met Gala happened, a photo of Katy Perry was trending on social media. This fooled people on the internet, thinking Katy Perry attended the Met Gala when, in reality, she did not attend. "AI photos of celebrities fooling viewers has become a growing issue with the spread of new technology that makes it easier than ever to generate an image" (Kircher).
