There are many features of the app that make these statistics understandable. One great feature is that there is a word limit for a tweet. A word limit makes it so that information is given in short and sweet bits, allowing for easy yet informative reads. Another feature is the hashtags. The use of hashtags has allowed for quick categorization of different topics, and clicking on hashtags is incredibly helpful for disseminating information (whether it be about a breaking event, a trend, a pop culture controversy, etc.) in real-time. All of these things and more have made Twitter a popular choice for news delivery.
