To begin, I analyzed these two immensely popular websites by simply going to my browser and opening both at once. The moment I opened the websites, I immediately could see visual differences. First, CNN has a very plain and straightforward website that mostly shows news. I only saw one sports headline, making CNN very informative. For example, here's the first headline I saw: "3 dead, 10 wounded, in Arkansas grocery store shooting, authorities say." This is a very serious headline that quickly grabs attention. Meanwhile, Fox seems to be less serious and focuses on other topics on their home page. For example, the first thing I saw when opening Fox was a live score for a Peru Vs Chile soccer game. But similar to CNN, I saw them posting serious and informative news. It seems that both these companies maintain a straightforwardness on their websites when it comes down to presentability.
