Daily Life What Is It?

So our professor allowed us to use “your idea of news, journalism, or public rhetoric” (Scott 1). Honestly, this assignment I didn’t want to do… So naturally I debated about it all day until it was bedtime. Now I’m trying to come up with something witty and something that would make people amused. For this assignment my idea of news is purely what's going on in my family. So readers might not enjoy it (disclaimer). Fortunately for my wonderful readers this is a blog and a blog is defined as a “frequently updated web page used for personal commentary or business content.” (Barney 2). Let’s take your idea of news and personal commentary and combine them.

This will be fun. So, some background information. I come from a family with four children and two adults. There is never a dull moment in our house. Our age range for these kids is twelve- twenty three. With an age gap like that everything is entertaining. Three out of the four kids have jobs. We all hang out after work though cause we have the time. We argue about who gets to play on what, who's making dinner, and things like that. But let's move along, cause this blog isn’t just talking about how crazy my family is. I’m sure you want to hear about our day today (maybe you don't. I am not a mind reader [unless you are my mother because I can read her mind all day]).

So today JJ (The oldest and only boy,age 23) had work from 9-3 as a courtesy clerk. His day was uneventful so we are moving along. Next we have Jessica (the third child, female age 17) . She too had work from 9-4:30 as a courtesy clerk. Jessica’s day was fun. The shorts she has worn previously for a few of her shifts are suddenly out of dress code. Of course, it seemed to be only a problem for this morning’s manager. Jessica usually works nights, and they didn’t give her a warning about the shorts. It's the same dress code, just different managers. Apparently by the end of it she didn’t get written up just a warning. The dress code states that shorts have to be past the knee. Now comes the debate…are they still considered shorts if they go past your knee? I don’t think so.

So in conclusion, read the dress code correctly and maybe have a photo of it to reference. Secondly, this is a fun News Blog for me, I hope you keep reading.
