In recent events, this popular drug called Ozempic has been used for type 2 diabetes and is also famous for obesity. This popular drug is very sought after, but there have been fake versions of the drug. The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a global alert about fake Ozempic drugs. This raises many issues for the public's health because of the unknown effects and risks the fake drug could cause. "The organization advised people to source the drug only through reputable sources, such as a doctor, rather than obscure sites online or through social media" (Gallager). This is very important because the use of fake sites online pushes fake products out into the public, which is harmful to our health. Fake news is not only deceiving to people; it can cause harm to our health and risk lives.
