In today's world of heavy media saturation, how do news outlets get us readers to decide to read their articles? To look into this, I've viewed Freedom Forum's Today's Front Pages to see if I could spot any similarities or differences in the way they are set up. A commonality I noticed was the use of large images and/or large quotes to grab the reader's attention. In addition to noticing these, when i took a closer look i noticed that it was very common for the quote or photo to be out of context or just vague enough to make you wonder what the rest of the article says. This is known as "clickbait" and is done heavily by news articles to get the reader to turn the page and read.
