Sumi Aggarwal is the Chief of Strategy for an online publication called The Intercept. When asked about their predictions for media by Nieman Lab, Aggarwal expressed concern "that the beautifully written 10,000-word piece will only reach certain kinds of audiences." They go on to say that traditional journalism will have to adapt to stay relevant and attract a new, younger, more diverse audience. I largely agree with this sentiment. The younger generations do not feel the need to pay for a legacy paper to be delivered to their doorstep every Sunday when they can stumble across what is essentially the same news for free. See Aggarwal's full statement here.
