Honest Takes on Fake News

It is no question that fake news is a constant, recurring issue that is seemingly inescapable with the technology that we have today. Everywhere we look, we are surrounded by false narratives and skewed stories. However, there are some unsung heroes when it comes to clearing up these one-sided stories. AP news takes a somewhat comical approach to calling out the bull crap. They start their articles off by saying “none of these are legit, even though they were shared widely on social media.” Making it clear that the stories they are about to share are total bologna. They then go on to list the facts and paint a much clearer and more honest picture of what actually happened. It is refreshing to read something so clear-cut and honest, even with a little touch of sarcasm. See their post for the week of June 7th down below.
