Published by Matthew Ponsford this journal discusses the ways in which environmentalists have shifted their work to match the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. The Dnipro State Enviromental Monitoring Center tracks air and water damage afflicted by the war. Save Dnipro has developed a new chatbot bot technology specifically designed for reporting environmental crimes. "Ukraine's government lists about 23,000 facilities that could wreak havoc on humans and wildlife if they were intentionally damaged or even just improperly maintained"(Ponsford, 2022). In places like Kherson that are currently occupied, wildlife introduction has been extremely difficult. Activists have started to lend a helping hand, providing supplies and support for the DSEMC.
