I am located in McKinney Texas. An issue that our community is facing is the expansion of 380 which includes an overpass to lighten the traffic on 380 to make a connection to Highway 75. Some people in my community are excited about this change, but some are not happy at all. I am interviewing my friend, Catelyn Laney, to find out her opinions about this major change that is occurring in our community. I asked her these questions below.
-What is your opinion about traffic on 380?
Catelyn: "I think it is very congested and I have been late to school numerous times due to this traffic)
-What is your opinion about Eminent Domain occurring in our community?
Catelyn: "I have friends who work at some of the new establishments on 380, and now due to Eminent Domain many of these people are losing their jobs and my community is losing some of the newer places that were built less than a year ago."
-Do you think this overpass will be beneficial to your day-to-day life?
Catelyn: "I am not upset about the overpass being created, rather I am upset with the location they chose to build it and all the new business it is impacting negatively. "
Catelyn used her personal experience to persuade her audience and explain to her audience about her opinions about this new overpass across 380 that has been built.
