When I was younger, I stumbled upon YouTube thumbnails that would say something like "Ghost challenge gone wrong *ghost appeared* " and of course, I would press it, and of course, there was no ghost who appeared, just some noises. This interaction struck me with an interesting question: is Cliclbate fake news? To answer my question, I decided to go to a website that usually uses clickbait on their readers... Buzzfeed. The first clickbait i saw was an which said "No, It’s Not Magic — These 30 Products Just Work Well" and showed an image of someone wearing something that made them skinnier. Of course, when I read it, I found nothing but products that work well or would make me skinnier. Luckily for me, this answers my question. It is a form of fake news and may be one of the most overused versions.
