Ultimately journalism has changed over the years. It was something that was hungered for at some point in time. It was something that you read at meal times or watched after work. While this sounds ancient it was the reality if you wanted to know what was going on around you. Now we will be in a world where the news is found literally everywhere on every platform. “Because there is so much of it, we find it difficult to separate the good from the bad.” Which is a quote from the book A Short Introduction to Journalism, which was an interesting read because we have come so far with how information is spread. Somehow that has also created a larger problem. Now everyone can write about the news and leads many to misinform large groups of people. Now instead of reading the truth one has to search for credible journalists and credible websites to gather information. Another point the book made was the fast spread of information. Oftentimes news gets out so fast to the point where no real repair can get done. Someone's reputation can be demolished in seconds.Quality control is not done enough to help control the amount of misinformation that is getting spread around.
