According to an article titled "What is a Newsfeed," the definition is "A feed or newsfeed is "a list or stream of posts, news items, updates, and other content from entities or sources that a user follows or subscribes to on websites, including social media platforms, applications, and news websites" (“What Is a Newsfeed? How Does It Actually Work?”). People usually consume information from social media or their favorite news outlets. The newsfeed or feed is usually customized by the user's viewing of things. How they interact with social media will show them other things related to that topic. Usually, if they have a huge engagement with a specific topic, the app will most likely take over and only show them that topic. Many apps also offer them other things they can view, like what their friends post, family posts, or even what their favorite influencer or famous person has recently posted. According to the article, "a social media newsfeed, therefore, is to provide you with a regularly updated stream of relevant and interesting information that engages you and makes you want to return for more" (“What Is a Newsfeed? How Does It Actually Work?”). That usually seems to work because we see many people connected on social media daily. They either engage by sharing or liking the material that they are viewing. Newsfeeds or feeds on social media have become a big game chamber on social media apps. Many people have been enjoying that feature!
