As I was exploring all the different traveler bloggers' platforms, I came across Kate McCulley profile. I connected with Kate's journaling, because of the way she displayed her writing towards her audience. While scrolling through Kate's social media and website I ran across her journal about her trip to Venice. I was instantly hooked to see her opinions because I absolutely love Europe and it is my dream to one day travel there. I also was intrigued to read about her experience, because of the BEAUTIFUL picture she displayed (the picture below) of Venice. As I was reading her blog, she talked about every detail of her trip and made every second sound magical. Especially when she states, "It's overwhelming how many beautiful places there are to visit in the Veneto and beyond you have so many options." Kate could connect to the public and draw people into reading her blog and one day even be convinced to visit Venice, by the way she writes. Kate writes her journal so light-heartedly and she makes it seem like a conversation rather than a report. She also posts her recommendations and what to expect from a trip to Venice, which makes me as a reader feel more at peace and trust the information I am reading because she displays both the negative and positives. She stated in her article, "Also, be aware that you’re leaving a magical location for someplace that might not be as lovely as Venice. As much as I adore Bologna, it doesn’t have the same wow factor as Venice." As a reader it makes me want to read more of her journals when she is honest about all the things her trips consist of.
