Troubleshooting is a necessary evil even in space. They don't call it rocket science for nothing. According to NASA, two astronauts will be staying behind on the International Space to make repairs "as engineers" fixing the new "Boeing's space capsule". NASA does a wonderful job of telling the public that safety is their number one priority. They are keen to mention that time will not factor into their plans. It is easy to draw the conclusion that while NASA is a science program they value humanity over their experiments. The writer appeals to the audience of the urgency and need to perform safety checks rallying them to support future NASA projects.
