She Said all started in 2017 when The New York Times published a story written by reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, bringing light to the sexual abuse allegations made against Harvey Weinstein by women around the ages of 20-40 years old. During their investigation, the New York Times found three decades of allegations settlement made against Weinstein for his misconduct against women behind closed doors. In their search for the truth Megan and Jodi spoke with women, encouraging them to speak up: “I can’t change what happened to you in the past, but together we may be able to use your experience to help protect other people.” (Jodi Kantor)   The film follows the historical movement kickstarted by the two women called the #METOO movement that followed the aftermath of the two reports' story against Weinstein. The movie highlights the real struggle journalists face when they try to gain the narrative that powerful men have controlled for years.
