The 2018 Protests Against Gun Violence

The “March for our Lives” movement was established in 2018. After a series of mass shootings, students took the stage to protest against gun violence. They sought to rid the forebodement of armed assault in educational institutions and publicized the lack of security in firearm acquisition. Looking back on the archived front pages in 2018, many newspapers predominantly captured rallies against gun violence at the start of the year. In most, if not all the front pages, the “March of our Lives” protest encompassed the articles’ headlines and covered speeches from anti-gun advocates such as Leonard Munoz, “a survivor of the attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.”
