What's the Future for Journalism

Journalists recognize that the need for their occupation is gradually declining. They've noticed it severely in their lacking audiences and their decreasing pay rolls. During 2020, https://www.niemanlab.org/ asked several journalists to predict the future of journalism. While some mentioned that they just needed more collaboration among fellow journalists, the majority answered that their jobs may be in jeopardy due to the upbringing of social media. Journalist, Rachel Glickhouse, states "[t]here are lots of efforts to bolster print and local media, but there aren't many structures in place to support journalists struggling with job insecurity or job loss."
