As of Wednesday, April 8, Bernie Sanders stopped his presidential campaign for the upcoming election. This leaves former Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump as the primary candidates. Sanders stated that the decision was not an easy one, but the "prospect of winning was just not there," for the nomination. Many progressives are disappointed by this decision. Although Sanders will still be on the ballot in the remaining primary states, the chances of him winning are low. His stay on the ballots for primaries is mainly to push his ideologies at the Democratic National Convention and have some future influence.
