Austin and Its Many Colors

This morning's edition of Austin American-Statesman found on Today’s Front Pages – Freedom Forum grabbed my attention with the use of large photos containing multiple colors. Today, people would rather search for information using a photo than reading through an article. With the purpose of a front page being an attention grabber, it only makes sense that you would want your paper to stand out with lots of bold colors. This issue specifically caters to picture lovers by placing the text within the photo. It reads "74-story tower would be Austin's tallest - maybe tallest in Texas". The photo catches the reader's attention, and the placement of the text invites the reader to learn more about the topic with ease. [1 image, 1 link, 1 quotation, 119 words]
