The hold on the Avocados seems to be based on death threats a US health inspector received over there. And if you are wondering when the ban will be lifted just know as Julie Creswell a journalist from the New York Times writes "The suspension will remain in place for as long as necessary to ensure the appropriate actions are taken, to secure the safety of APHIS personnel working in Mexico,”
