The Twitter upload stated: "Baby formula production at Abbott's Michigan plant has been delayed after flooding from severe storms. Production at the plant had restarted less than two weeks ago following a months-long closure that helped drive a nationwide formula shortage."

Local news often has important implications for tons of people across the entire country. The baby formula crisis is a fascinating example. Problems with severe weather in Michigan have caused a supply chain breakdown, and this goes to show how interconnected different parts of America are with each other. The first story came from the agency 9 & 10 News while the second story came from the agency CNN. They both stress the serious nature of the issue. In these troubled times, raising a child already is more stressful than it should be, with more social problems making me think about the future.
