Journalists around the world are facing a lot of issues, but one of them is how little community interaction they are having for their field. According to Francesco Zaffarano from Nieman Labs, his prediction for 2022 is "it's time to meet with your community" because the it's not just enough to please to keep the same engagement from people that think like you. If there is more engagement from people as a whole, it's also personal and it makes the people see that the journalists care about them. According to Alice Antheaume from Nieman Labs, she says that one important thing to keep in mind is that "face to face reporting" allows for them as journalists to "glimpse that almost imperceptible frown" on the person that they're interviewing. So overall, journalists are still faced with the task of not only collecting their data from online sources, but to also look at real people to get a better idea of what they may be or may not be saying.
