Looking into what “Public Rhetoric” meant, I stumbled upon this teacher trying to inspire social change and build the gaps of a different way of thinking. "Rhetorical studies is, at the basic level, the study of argument and persuasion. But I also think of rhetoric as the art of imagining the possibilities."

Doug Cloud, an assistant professor of English, was able to bring his hobby of Legos into his classroom. Doug’s Kingdom is filled with a Queen duo, female knights, and stretches his students’ minds beyond traditional ideas and viewpoints. “Good rhetoric isn’t about winning by any means. We must win assent by giving reasons. We must strive toward mutual understanding, not just getting people to do what we want with words.” Doug wants to help his students become critical thinkers and does. He mentions wanting to encourage his students to question the things around them and why they are the way they are.
