Journalists are the backbone of our news sources; reputable or not. Christiane Amanpour is a renowned journalist who found her stride as a journalist while covering the Iran-Iraq war in 1986. She was made well-known by her stories of the Bosnian War which later led to her becoming a global affairs anchor for a show on ABC News in 2010. One article discussing her career states that “Amanpour’s journalistic career spans three decades, during which she’s interviewed Hosni Mubarak (she was the only journalist to do so) and Muammar Ghadafi during the Arab Spring.” Her almost poetic use of words to convey the awful things she was seeing in other parts of the world is only one of the many reasons she has become such a prominent name in the world of Journalism.
