College sports have always been a huge deal for Austin locals. With UT Austin's excellent sports program, there seems to be a handful of must-watch games every year. This summer, all the focus has been on the Texas Baseball team, proceeding to Omaha and competing in the College World Series. I talked to my friend Ryan about this event and his excitement could not be held inside: "I feel so lucky to be witnessing Texas playing A&M on college baseball's biggest stage. This is great news for our community." Indeed, although the spring semester has ended a while ago, Texas fans' passion for the sports teams are never gone.
