Being a Dallas area native for all of my life, I have noticed that the air quality is not perfect and sometimes can affect me physically. I asked my good friend, Michael Schram if he has ever felt like the air quality seems off, especially in downtown Dallas. He tells me, "of course I notice it, but it does not bother me." When he told me this, I felt like he could care less about what he is breathing in, mainly because, as an individual, he feels like he does not have control over what is in the air. The two key air quality issues facing the City of Dallas are ground-level ozone and the emission of greenhouse gases that affect global climate change. Even though Michael feels like he cannot do anything to help the ozone, he can easily ride the bus or even consider switching to an electric vehicle if he wants to.
