(Defend American Freedom – It’s Everybody's job) Propaganda breakdown.

Art has always been a way of expressing emotions, movement, ideas, or all three of them at once. For this discussion, I chose the propaganda poster "Defend American Freedom – It’s Everybody's job". The "Defend American Freedom – It’s Everybody's job" poster was created during World War 2 as a propaganda piece. The poster was designed to encourage people to unify as one against the overseas threat. The advertisement poster depicts Uncle Sam dawning in a factory worker uniform with his coat draped on his shoulder and his worker's hat on his head. The designer of this peace was named McClelland Barclay, who had previously designed other posters during World War 1. With this propaganda peace, he hoped to keep morale high in the workforce. This propaganda advertisement aims to get everybody to work regardless of race, gender, or age. The work was well designed and encouraged the workers who may have tired out. Overall I believe the artwork of the poster was well done, with it expressing its message successfully.
