We have all heard about fake news, but have you heard what fake news is doing to the media? Recently the media has had a rapid increase of distrust with news, which means that "national news organizations has fallen from 76% in 2016 to 58% in 2021". The fact that the percentage of trust that is in news has fallen by 18% in less than 10 years is concerning. While reading through the rest of this article I noticed that there were more political responses from the author on why the news is now not as truthful as it used to be. Overall the article was very helpful but had many uses of rhetoric in it to get the reader to change the way they think about the media.
