"Fake News"

"We provide several resources for readers: a guide on how to flag suspicious stories on Facebook and a list of websites that have carried false or satirical articles, as well as a video and story on how to spot false stories."

Some of the hardest things to do when researching a topic or event going on in the world, is deciphering what is true and what is "fake news". Fabricated, dramatically embellished, and or flat out lies about a certain issue or event is what is now knows as fake news. It has become an ongoing issue of getting the truth in-between fabricated assumptions and stories. Brooks Jackson the Director and founder of factcheck.org, has changed the game. Debunking False Stories Archives - FactCheck.org is a website that is dedicated and programmed to find the false narratives and state the fact. Such as, recently there was a Facebook post that was circulating claiming that "Judge Janice Rogers Brown — not Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson — was the first Black woman to be nominated to the nation’s highest court". Factcheck published Former Judge Janice Rogers Brown Was Not Nominated to the Supreme Court - FactCheck.org derailing the false narrative that was being spread.
