Fake News an Epedemic

Fake news is something news consumers deal with because we never know where the truth is. Just imagine what it is like when it is about you. Waking up and checking Twitter and it tells you that you just had a baby with your girlfriend, just got engaged, and, bought her a house! These absolutely baseless rumors can make it so hard for someone to live their everyday life. Fake news is a kind of pandemic in the journalism world. The reason for it truly is to make more money. I had watched an interview with Tom Holland where he said that he had heard a rumor that he had bought a house for him and Zendaya. I just can't even imagine waking up and having it be spread that you did something huge and life-changing when you really didn't. To show an example putting alternated images as headliners is a way to catch attention. I used a picture of Tom Holland because I know people are more likely to click on a post of someone's face that they admire, rather than words or a stock image.
