"Fake news" and misinformation

Misinformation is inaccurate information. It's false and after reading Claire Wardle's, "Understanding information disorder" 2019, I read"Misinformation also describes false content but the person sharing doesn’t realize that it is false or misleading." Many people often share misinformation and continue sharing, thinking they're being helpful when in reality it causes more confusion. An example of people who create bad information would be paparazzi's. They spread rumors to get the public's attention and it goes worldwide. A persuasive rhetorical strategy is what is used to fool people as well as metaphors and ethos to gain the audience's trust. It's very important to always check your sources, domain name, and if there are any authors listed.
