One of the ongoing events that has the entire world's attention at the moment is the situation in Ukraine. I found a Ukrainian journalist and reporter by the name of Nataliya Gumenyuk that has been in warzones before and was in Kyiv on Febuary 24th when Russia first invaded. I have her article attached but what especially stood out to me was that she was contacted by a Russian news outlet, with the woman contacting her in tears apologizing for what her country was doing and for what was to come, and begging for forgiveness. She compares it to a well-known ukranian phrase “4am Kyiv is bombed,” from 1941 when Germany first invaded to now, “5am Kyiv is bombed.”
