If we take a look at the Birmingham News Newspaper title and cover page from todays front, it has a photo of two highschool basketball players, one male and one female. This is effective in getting people to look through the magazine because by putting an interesting topic for many, basketball, consumers will flip through the magazine looking for more information on it and stumble across another section they may like. It also say “It’s time to meet the areas highschool boys and girls basketball players of the year” The same thing happens in The Anniston Star newspaper. They put a picture of weed in the top part of the newspaper, the part people would most likely see first, to try and get people interested in discussions about weed to flip through the newspaper [words 134, 1 image, 1 link, 1 quotation]
