Front Page News: Attention Grabbing Extravaganza

Nothing else in this day and age tries to grab our attention like front page news. One look on Freedom Forum's today's front pages shows headlines that are great examples of this front page news. From headlines like "A hot, sticky mess of giant trees and massive insects" and "National GOP group donated $3M to reelect Dunleavy", front page news attempts to grab our attention while also telling us the news that we need to know. We as humans are very impatient creatures and as such we don't typically spend a lot of time paying attention to the things that we don't care about, this is why newspaper editors need to use front page news to not only interest us in something that we might find interesting, but also to get us to keep reading, it's both a way to keep readers informed while also keeping up sales numbers.
