Fake news is a popular phrase nowadays, between political debates and general media. It seems as though anytime someone disagrees with an article they find they declare it as 'fake news' and move on with their day. But those spouting such claims are not entirely incorrect, misinformation is rampant in the media nowadays. This article claims that many do not intend to spread this misinformation, typically printing inaccurate information by mistake. But some do intend to simply create chaos by publishing lies with the intention to “influence public opinion or obscure the truth". This is made even easier by utilizing rhetorical strategies to quickly and efficiently spread these lies, specifically; logos, ethos, and pathos.
