Ill Informed Students


Camila Domonoske of NPR did report on how “children of the future might be very ill informed.” A new study from Stanford a valued students ability to assess information sources. Stanford researchers described the results as "dismaying," "bleak" and a “threat to democracy." the Stanford researchers have spent over a year analyzing how students across the country are able to evaluate online sources of material. over 80% of middle schoolers that were surveyed believed that sponsored content that the research put out was a real news story. and almost 80% of high schoolers determining if a picture was fake or not.
