In the World of Journalism: fixing the deemed unfixable

What is unfixable? Is it something that is impossible to fix, or something deemed impossible by those who do not want to go through the effort of fixing it?

In Predictions for Journalism 2021, Nikki Usher addresses the mundane issues people face every day. These UX problems, simple errors on your phone where you just have to refresh the page or an error with the login. we tend to ignore or just except. Usher says "failure to solve basic UX problems isn’t just embarrassing — it’s also an example of news outlets’ continued inability to realize that users have to be at the center of any sort of future success, and building the loyalty of your audience takes work." In today's era of technology, of 3D printing, VR, and the growing ever smaller microchip, these problems shouldn't be dealt with. If companies want loyalty, then need to fix the small, simple stuff to earn their audience's attention.

Until next time,

good afternoon, good evening, and good night.
