Is it possible for journalistic integrity to grind people's gears, jeopardizing their feats?

By: Jerry Okonkwo

In life, you’re bound to experience some incidents designed to shape your personality, giving them a high and a low, but your response to those incidents adds spice to the tale. Over the weekend, I sat enjoying the Academy Awards, including some pals, yet nothing appeared out of the norm until the whole conversation unfolded. This year's Academy Awards featured handled by Chris Rock. He made intangible comments with a whimsical edge at several of the luminaries in attendance. Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith's wife, was among them. However, the intense uproar over the remarks has stirred up a discussion regarding black women's safety. So, Will got out of his seat during the Academy Awards and struck Chris Rock. Will felt compelled to return to his chair after this objective could’ve stood, enthusiastically welcomed. “Will Smith just smacked the s*** out of me, stated Rock, looking visibly shocked at the moment. Smith, who won Best Oscar, is then heard yelling, “Keep my wife’s name out your “f***ing mouth, to which Rock replied: “Wow… dude, it was a GI Jane joke.” (Sachdeva & O’Connor) These quotations highlight the significant problems in preserving outstanding achievements. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/jimmy-kimmel-oscars-hosts-will-smith-b2045387.html
