Reading a bit of the articles I found about disinformation and fake news, I really went deep dive into the rabbit hole. Misinformation is incorrect or misleading information, while fake news is deliberately made by individuals that haven't done research, individuals who might not or have ill intentions. While looking and the charts, the majority of people receive their news from social media, people have became very distrustful of the news that's being put out on all these platforms because "Individuals have taken advantage of social and digitals platforms to deceive , mislead or harm others through creating or disseminating fake news and disinformation. During the pandemic while president trump was in office I remember on social media a picture of the toddler clothes set at Walmart with pizza on it and while reading the comments it really made me think about what was being said from different people all different races and ages and from all over the world. "Pizzagate conspiracy which started on twitter. The story falsely alleged that sexually abused children were hidden at Comet Ping Pong, a Washington, D.C pizza parlor, and that Holary Clinton knew about the sex." People on social media took this fakes news so seriously that the owners of the pizza parlor suffered greatly. We need to take news from social media or any media with a grain of salt and make sure that we are doing our research and making sure we aren't falling for it.
