With so many false stories, claims and articles surfacing every day on the internet it is difficult to decipher facts and fiction. As a reader, it is disheartening to see publishers fuel their business off false statements and get away with it. In this article published by the Washington Post, it goes on and on about a brave story about Trump sending his personal plane to pick up soldiers. At the end it states, "the Trump campaign, meanwhile, earns Four Pinocchios for confirming a story that is easily debunked," but as I read through it, it was easily believable. This goes to show how newspapers will play on the readers emotion to encourage them to keep reading, just to learn it carried no backbone. It has become apparent for all readers to double, and triple check their research before sharing a spineless story.
