"There is nothing wrong with for-profit as long as your company isn't interested in only profit," says Larry Ryckman. Ryckman goes on to write about how in the past few years many newspaper companies have fallen into the hands of large hedge funds and the impact it has on journalism. As a reader, we all have a choice as to where we get our information whether that is from large multi-million dollar news organizations or smaller local news sources. The choice is up to the reader but Rykeman is hoping to make the point that many of the larger news sources are only worried about the money made and not about the news that can be spread.
