Fake News can have many motives, Misinformation or Disinformation. As you can see from this article many people share fake news for a variety of reasons. It can be for "hoaxes, click-bait, fabricated reports" or "“false or misleading content including hoaxes, conspiracy theories, fabricated reports, click-bait headlines, and even satire." But it can be dangerous either way, the fake news can lead to panic so it is very important to learn to notice the fake news to avoid it.
