Tiktok is a video-sharing app that is used frequently by Americans. Statista states that the “United States was the country with the largest TikTok audience by far, with approximately 136.5 million”. Tiktok is used for many things, one being the sharing of news. One popular news source is CNN with 400.6k followers. Their most recent video is a 50 second clip of U.S Attorney General Merrick Garland. Garland is speaking about the hate crime shooting against black people in the Buffalo grocery store. He states that "no one should be attacked because of the color of their skin". It is a very moving clip and the point of the video is voiced right away. These short videos are perfect for our generation because they fill us in on the topic whilst still being short.
