While roaming online, I came across a news article where Carl Heneghan, an Oxford epidemiologist, was banned from Twitter after making declarations in which he assures that, "the number of people who had died from Covid may have been exaggerated." He supported his allegation by providing his followers on Twitter with a study that was done on the number of deaths due to COVID. The author of this article, Zoe Williams, accomplished her role as a columnist for the Guardian by revealing the injustice that was done by Twitter when Heneghan was only speaking truthfully. The Guardian is a news platform in which they believe in granting the public "truthful news," "information equality," and "high-impact global reporting, always free from commercial or political influence." They effectively declare ethos through the news article by showing proof of what they are stating and by discussing their "determination and passion" to publish trustworthy information.
