Poverty In Dallas

I've been in Dallas for almost seven years, and after a few years, I became aware of the city's severe poverty issues. Dallas' poverty has persisted in the face of a vast expansion, smack in the middle of the country's most abundant and fastest developing metropolitan areas. According to statistics, "280,699 of 1,284,864 Dallas residents reported income levels below the poverty line in the last year." Dallas is jeopardized by more than simply the well-being of its impoverished inhabitants. Such high percentages of chronic poverty will eventually drive the city's most significant companies out. This can cause the town to spiral downward, and everyone, affluent or poor, will experience it. I believe that increasing the minimum wage, educating children, and improving people's general nutrition will be effective ways to tackle the problem.
