Social media is one thing that almost every person has access too. It is one thing that people use everyday to either get news, see what friends are doing or find something to buy. websites like Facebook and twitter use cookies when we use their websites which gives them access to our information. The algorithm reads your recent searches and fixates a different algorithm based on your searches. so when you watch a video on Facebook it plays an add of something you have recently searched to attract( "trap" )you to open their website and buy that product.
