The picture they choose for the headlines also is quite dramatic, wherein this specific example shows students pushing out of a gate running from the school. These kinds of images chosen are always selected in order to draw readers in, along with the headline.
For the most part, most news articles follow this kind of format, with a dramatic image as well as a catchy headline in order to gather the reader's attention. At times it can be quite informative, but in this day and age it is getting too close to being classified as fake news.
